Docs are the real setup guide. Pick the route first and this page switches to the matching hardware chain. FAQ now lives on its own page so these steps stay focused.

PC 1

Install OBS, DistroAV, and the NDI extension only on the main PC.

PC 2

Run the PC2 launcher here and use its local control page from the main PC.

MAKCU

Left port to PC 1, middle port to PC 2, right port to the mouse.

Video path

PC 1 stays on OBS only. DistroAV pushes the feed out as PC1-OBS and PC 2 receives that side.

Control page

The PC 2 launcher shows the local address. Open PC2_IP:777 from PC 1 to sign in and manage the setup from inside the same network.

MAKCU ports

Left port to PC 1, middle port to PC 2, right port to the mouse. No MAKCU configuration is required for this route.

DistroAV installed first on PC 1

One USB line from the left MAKCU port to PC 1 and one from the middle port to PC 2

Quick flow

Install OBS, then DistroAV, then the NDI extension or runtime on PC 1, and restart OBS after both installs.

Set OBS Video so Base and Output Resolution both match your current Windows resolution.

Enable Main output in DistroAV NDI Settings and name it PC1-OBS.

Add Display Capture on PC 1 and keep Capture Method on Automatic.

Open the PC2 launcher, visit the control page from PC 1 on port 777, sign in with the key, and keep the MAKCU wired left to PC 1, middle to PC 2, right to mouse.

2PC setup

Follow the order below exactly. The main PC stays on OBS only, the second PC runs the launcher, and the MAKCU handles the mouse bridge between both systems.

Set up the main PC

Download OBS, DistroAV, and the NDI extension. Install DistroAV first, then install the NDI extension, then restart OBS.

Configure OBS video

Open Settings, then Video.
Set Base (Canvas) Resolution to your current Windows resolution.
Set Output (Scaled) Resolution to that exact same Windows resolution.
If you play stretched in-game, Windows must also be set to that stretched resolution first.
Keep Downscale Filter on Bicubic.
Set FPS to Fractional FPS Value, with numerator 120 and denominator 1.
Click Apply, then Save.

Enable the NDI output

Open Tools, then DistroAV NDI Settings.
Enable Main output.
Set Main output name to PC1-OBS.
Go to your Scene, right-click Sources, choose Add Source, then Display Capture.
Choose Create New, keep Capture Method on Automatic, and select your main display.
Once that is done, leave PC 1 as it is.

Open the PC2 launcher

On PC 2, download the launcher from Downloads. When you open the EXE, it shows the local IP for the built-in control page. Open that address from PC 1 using the PC 2 IP plus port 777, for example http://192.168.1.150:777. Sign in there with your key and the launcher connects automatically.

MAKCU port order

Left USB-A port: PC 1.
Middle USB-A port: PC 2.
Right USB-A port: mouse.

Important notes

You do not need to configure anything on the MAKCU itself.
The MAKCU stays on full mouse passthrough.
The same mouse appears on PC 1 once the chain is connected correctly.
Use the 2PC plan only for this MAKCU + OBS + PC2 launcher workflow.
